Chint NXBLE63 - 2P/C40 is a **2 - pole (2P) miniature residual current circuit breaker**. Its main parameters and functions are as follows:

Core Parameters

- **Rated Current**: 40A ("C40" indicates that the tripping characteristic is Type C and the rated current is 40A);

- **Pole Number**: 2P (cuts off both the live wire and the neutral wire simultaneously);

- **Residual Current Protection**: AC type (detects ordinary AC leakage). The residual operating current is usually 30mA (an industry conventional value, and some models support options such as 50mA/75mA);

- **Breaking Capacity**: 6kA (can safely cut off circuits with a short - circuit current of not less than 6000A);

- **Applicable Voltage**: 230V (for single - phase circuits);

- **Mechanical/Electrical Life**: The mechanical life is 20,000 times, and the electrical life is 10,000 times.

 Main Functions

1. **Residual Current Protection**: When there is electric shock to the human body (current ≥ 30mA) or equipment leakage in the circuit, the power supply is quickly cut off within 0.1 second to prevent electric shock casualties;

2. **Overload Protection**: If the circuit load is too large (current exceeds 40A), it will automatically disconnect to avoid overheating and fire of the circuit;

3. **Short - Circuit Protection**: When a short circuit occurs in the circuit (current increases sharply in an instant), the circuit is cut off immediately to protect electrical appliances and the circuit;

4. **Isolation Function**: It can be used as a switch for infrequent on - off of the circuit under normal conditions.

Application Scenarios

- **Household Electricity**: For high - power socket circuits in kitchens, living rooms, etc. (such as air conditioners, electric water heaters), it replaces traditional air switches and adds residual current protection;

- **Small - scale Commercial Places**: For socket or lighting circuits in convenience stores and offices, meeting the electricity demand within 40A;

- **Decoration and Renovation**: Upgrading the residual current protection of old circuits to meet the new national standard's requirement that "socket circuits must be equipped with residual current protection".

 Installation and Use Precautions

- It should be selected according to the actual load of the circuit to avoid "a big horse pulling a small cart" or "a small horse pulling a big cart";

- Press the "test button (T key)" once a month to verify whether the residual current protection function is normal;

- When installing, the live wire (L) and the neutral wire (N) must be distinguished. If the wiring is reversed, the residual current protection function may fail.
