There are generally two types of transformers installed in an electrical circuit: current transformers and voltage transformers. The following introduces their installation methods and precautions respectively:
## Installation of Current Transformers
1. **Determine the Installation Location**: Select an appropriate installation location according to the requirements of measurement or protection. Usually, it is installed on the circuit where the current needs to be measured, such as the main circuit and branch circuits inside the power distribution cabinet. It should be easy to install and maintain. At the same time, factors such as magnetic field interference should be considered, and it should be kept away from strong magnetic field sources as much as possible.
2. **Select the Appropriate Transformer**: Select a current transformer of the appropriate specification according to parameters such as the rated current, voltage level, and accuracy requirements of the measured circuit. The rated primary current of the current transformer should be greater than the maximum operating current of the measured circuit, generally 1.2 to 1.5 times the measured current.
3. **Install the Transformer**
- **Through-type Current Transformer**: Pass the measured wire through the central hole of the transformer. Pay attention that the wire-passing direction should comply with the marking requirements of the transformer to ensure the accuracy of measurement. For transformers with multiple turns passing through the core, wind the wire according to the specified number of turns.
- **Busbar-type Current Transformer**: It is suitable for measuring the current of the busbar. Directly put the primary winding of the transformer over the busbar, and then fix the transformer on the busbar support or the power distribution cabinet through fixing devices such as bolts.
- **Cast Resin Insulated Current Transformer**: It is usually used for measuring relatively small currents. It is generally installed on the circuit board or in a small power distribution box and connected to the circuit by means of welding or screwing.
4. **Connect the Secondary Circuit**: The secondary side of the current transformer has two terminals, generally marked as "K1" and "K2". Connect the "K1" terminal on the secondary side to the current input terminal of the measuring instrument (such as an ammeter, power meter, etc.) or the protection device, and ground the "K2" terminal to ensure safety. The connecting wires should be copper insulated wires with a cross-sectional area of not less than 2.5mm², and ensure that the connection is firm to avoid looseness or poor contact.
5. **Inspection and Testing**: After the installation is completed, carefully check whether the transformer is firmly installed and whether the wiring is correct. Then use a multimeter and other tools to measure the resistance of the secondary circuit to ensure that there is no open circuit in the circuit. Before powering on, a simulation test can also be carried out. Apply a small current to the primary side of the transformer and observe whether the readings of the measuring instruments on the secondary side are normal.
## Installation of Voltage Transformers
1. **Determine the Installation Location**: Generally, it is installed near the power source side or at the position where the voltage needs to be measured, such as the busbar side of the substation, the incoming line end of the power distribution cabinet, etc. Consider that it should be easy for wiring and maintenance, and avoid mechanical damage and electromagnetic interference.
2. **Select the Appropriate Transformer**: Select an appropriate voltage transformer according to factors such as the rated voltage, accuracy requirements, and secondary load of the measured circuit. Its rated primary voltage should match the voltage level of the measured circuit, and the rated secondary voltage is generally 100V or 100/√3V.
3. **Install the Transformer**
- **Electromagnetic Voltage Transformer**: For outdoor-installed voltage transformers, the pillar structure is usually adopted, and it is fixed on the support or the utility pole through the base; indoor-installed voltage transformers are generally dry-type and can be installed on the special support inside the power distribution cabinet. During installation, ensure the verticality and levelness of the transformer to avoid tilting or shaking.
- **Capacitive Voltage Transformer**: It is composed of a capacitor voltage divider, an electromagnetic unit, etc., and is generally installed in the outdoor area of the substation. First, install the capacitor voltage divider on the post insulator, then connect the electromagnetic unit to the capacitor voltage divider, and then carry out the overall debugging and fixing.
4. **Connect the Secondary Circuit**: The secondary side of the voltage transformer has multiple terminals. Among them, "a" and "x" are the outgoing terminals of the basic secondary winding, which are used to connect to the measuring instruments and protection devices; "aD" and "xD" are the outgoing terminals of the residual voltage winding, which are used for functions such as ground protection. Connect the "a" terminal of the basic secondary winding to the voltage input terminal of the measuring instrument (such as a voltmeter, power meter, etc.) or the protection device, and ground the "x" terminal. The residual voltage winding is generally used for functions such as ground fault alarm in the ungrounded neutral system, and the wiring should be carried out according to specific requirements. The connecting wires should be copper insulated wires with a cross-sectional area of not less than 1.5mm², and ensure good insulation to prevent short circuits or ground faults.
5. **Inspection and Testing**: After the installation is completed, check whether the transformer is firmly installed and whether the wiring is correct. Use an insulation resistance tester to measure the insulation resistance of the transformer to ensure good insulation performance. Before powering on, a turns ratio test can also be carried out. Apply a certain voltage to the primary side of the transformer using a standard voltage source, measure the output voltage on the secondary side, and check whether the turns ratio meets the specified value.#tiktokrefugee#cat#tiktokban#china#抖音难民#TransformerTechnology #CopperFoilWinding #PowerTransformers #EngineeringTechniques #ElectricalComponents #EfficientWinding#PowerTransformers #TransformerManufacturing #ElectricalComponents #EngineeringExplained #wankongtransformer #transformador #eléctrico #tecnología #fábrica #foryou #viral #videocorto #manufactura #máquina #energía #shorts #tendencias #cableado #trabajofábrica #ingenieríaeléctrica #transformadordeenergía #transformadoreléctrico #fabricación #proceso #fabricante #procesodefabricación #EnvolturaAltaTensión #EEUU #Canadá #Australia #ReinoUnido #vlogdiario #diario #trabajoadistinta #Tesla #TrabajoDiario #cableeléctrico #ingenieríadeenergía #transformador #envolturaenfoil #naciónbajavoltage #ingenieríaeléctrica #EnvolturaBajavoltage #EnvolturaFoil
